Charlie Brown Considers Moving to The Buckingham One of the Best Decisions of His Life

Seven and a half years ago, longtime Houstonian Charlie Brown found himself at a crossroads in life. Years after his divorce, he was living alone at his home in Tanglewood. The opportunity presented itself to sell it at a great price, so he began to look at his options to decide what he wanted to do — buy a smaller house, rent an apartment or condo, or make the switch to senior living.

After visiting four or five communities in the area, Charlie visited The Buckingham and knew it was hands down the best option. From the location and the atmosphere to the food and the fantastic staff, everything was top tier. “It felt like a true community, not just a place to live,” said Charlie.

Charlie is very active in the community. He leads a bridge group, runs and organizes tournaments for the billiard hall, and keeps track of winners for the annual playoffs. Out of all the offerings and activities at The Buckingham, his favorite thing about calling this place home is the people who live here.

“Living alone is a very lonely existence,” said Charlie. “At The Buckingham, you get to be part of a community and be as involved as you’d like.”
